For the last few months, new types of virus are spreading in the country.

The reason for this is not one but a total of 5 groups of viruses.

Who is getting this virus?

According to the Indian Medical Association (IMA), people below 15 and above 50 years of age are falling ill with this virus. 

Comorbid patients or say that a person who is infected with more than one serious disease at the same time. Like someone has both BP and diabetes problem. 

    Or those people who have any problem like heart problem, asthma, diabetes, weak immunity and neurological problem, they can get infected with H3N2 virus.

Symptoms of H3N2 virus?  

H3N2 virus is like seasonal cold, cough and swine flu. And the following symptoms may also occur: 

• Fever, 

• Cough, 

• Headache,

• Runny nose or nasal congestion,

• Body ache,

• Tiredness, 

• Diarrhoea, 

• Vomiting and 

• Breathlessness

How many cases of H3N2 virus are there in India?

According to the union health ministry, there is a total of 3038 laboratory confirmed cases of H3N2 and related sub variants of influenza have been reported till 9th March 2023. 

It would be better that we stop this virus from spreading so that it does not become a big problem for us in the future.
